Senior Chief Patrick Musili Ndoo of Kakeani location expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Vincent Munyoki Foundation and its founder, Dr. Vincent Munyoki, for their humanitarian efforts in building a new home for orphaned children in the community. These children had been living in deplorable conditions following the death of their parents and the subsequent collapse of their previous home.
Chief Ndoo recounted the hardships faced by the orphans, who desperately sought assistance from well-wishers. The Vincent Munyoki Foundation stepped in, constructing a decent home with the support of the local community. Both the chief and the community lauded the foundation for its impactful intervention and urged people to acknowledge and appreciate those who dedicate their resources to helping the less fortunate.
During the handover ceremony of the new house in Vondeni village, Dr. Vincent Munyoki thanked the community for their unity and support in completing the project. He called on leaders to collaborate in eradicating poverty without seeking personal gains, emphasizing that such unity can uplift the community and reduce poverty levels. Dr. Munyoki highlighted the necessity of cooperation to restore humanity and ensure that no one in the community lacks basic needs.
Wendi, the recipient of the new house, expressed profound gratitude to the Vincent Munyoki Foundation. She shared her plight after the death of her parents, being abandoned by her brothers, and losing hope while living in poor conditions. The new home, provided through Dr. Munyoki’s efforts, has given her a renewed sense of hope and happiness.
The Vincent Munyoki Foundation, under Dr. Vincent Munyoki’s leadership, has been at the forefront of philanthropic work. Their initiatives include building shelters for the homeless, creating income-generating projects for women and youth, donating sanitary pads and innerwear for children, supplying textbooks to schools, and training teachers to effectively implement the new Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) among other significant contributions.
