Kyalo Muli’s foray into the public eye has been marked by a series of notable failures. His attempt to secure the Kitui Assembly speakership resulted in a disheartening defeat, garnering only six votes from MCAs, leaving him publicly humiliated.
In a bid to reclaim his image, Muli purchased a ceremonial PhD from a dubious institution in the UAE. The degree, lacking any evident societal contribution to justify it, was celebrated with a lavish party, further highlighting its emptiness.
Muli’s next move was to buy the allegiance of a few elders from the dwindling Anzauni clan, who then declared him their patron . This hollow title was once again celebrated with a party. For six months, Muli paraded in a foul-smelling animal skin attire to assert his authority as the clan’s spokesman.
Undeterred by his previous setbacks, Muli attempted another maneuver. He hired delegates to secure a spot on the IEBC selection panel, despite his lack of credentials and qualifications. His inadequacy for the role was soon exposed, leading to his removal from the panel.
Kyalo Muli’s public endeavors reveal a pattern of grandiose ambitions and superficial achievements. His trajectory underscores a need for introspection and a reassessment of his approach to public service.
