Kitui County Governor Dr. Julius Malombe is spearheading the centennial celebration of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) at Mulango Technical & Vocational College. This event highlights the significant role TVET has played in equipping young people with practical skills and fostering economic growth within Kitui County.
The celebration features a diverse array of participants, with students showcasing the skills they have developed through various TVET institutions across Kitui. Governor Malombe has been a staunch advocate for eradicating illiteracy in the county, ensuring substantial government investment in TVET institutions to support their growth and development.
Joining Governor Malombe at the event are Kitui Deputy Governor Augustine Kanani, Kitui County Commissioner Kipchumba Ruto, members of the county executive, other notable guests, and parents.
The celebrations will continue tomorrow in Makueni County and will extend to other counties, symbolizing a unified commitment to advancing TVET education. The national event, set to mark this hundred-year milestone, is expected to be presided over by President William Ruto.
