Earlier today, Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe held crucial consultations with members of the Kitui County Education Board in his office boardroom. The meeting was part of a continued effort to enhance educational infrastructure and support in the region.
The delegation, which paid the governor a courtesy call, was led by Mr. Kilonzo Musilu, Chairman of the County Education Board. Other key figures included County Director of Education Mr. Khalif Hassan, Kitui TSC Director Madam Margaret Kamau, County KNUT Executive Secretary Mutunga Nding’o, KESHA Chairman Mr. Syanda Muthoka, and Father Anthony from the Catholic Education Secretariat. Senior officials from the County Government were also in attendance, signaling the importance of the discussions.
During the meeting, significant developments were highlighted, particularly the County Government’s recent allocation of two acres of land to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). This strategic move aims to host new TSC offices, providing administrative support to ease operations and improve the educational framework within Kitui County.
Governor Malombe reiterated his administration’s commitment to bolstering the education sector through various interventions. “Our goal is to create a conducive environment for both educators and students,” he emphasized, noting that the new TSC offices are a step towards achieving this objective.
Mr. Kilonzo Musilu praised the county’s support, acknowledging the positive impact such collaborations have on educational outcomes. “The allocation of land for TSC offices is a significant milestone. It reflects our shared vision for a robust educational system in Kitui,” he stated.
The consultations underscored the collaborative spirit between the county government and educational stakeholders. Madam Margaret Kamau, Kitui TSC Director, highlighted the operational benefits of the new offices. “This development will streamline our administrative processes, ultimately enhancing service delivery to teachers and educational institutions,” she said.
